Public Health Consideration Notice - Coronavirus-COVID 19 - updated 3/18/2020

We are aware of the current news and updates on the Coronavirus-COVID 19. At this time, all Pacific AAU VB events are POSTPONED until further notice. Our organization cannot give any medical advice, or advise you if you should or should not attend an event based off medical issues or concerns. We strongly urge you to reach out to your local public health office for information if you have any concerns.

Below are some very important guidelines to follow:

  • Discourage any player/coach/fan from attending if they are feeling ill in any way
  • All players and coaches should bring their own whistles to work matches and never share them.
  • Pre game handshakes will be conducted as a bow from opposing 3 meter lines. High fives will be discouraged
  • City Beach location will have 3 hand sanitizer stations in the building. Extra time will be allowed before starting matches to give every player and coach an opportunity to properly wash their hands
  • Unless it is necessary for the completion of a match, please give all people a proper “social distance."

Please read below important information from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

  • If you (as a parent, coach, player, etc.) are sick, stay home.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
    • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
    •  If you are sick, please stay home.
